World Cup 2022 Overview

World Cup 2026 Hosts
Canada, Mexico, and the United States have been named as co-hosts for the 2026 World Cup. Each of those teams will receive automatic qualification into the finals so they will not need to qualify.
There is a total of 16 different cities that will be used across the three countries at the 2026 World Cup, with the United States set to host all the knockout games from the quarterfinals onwards, including the final.

With 11 stadiums set to be used for the 2026 World Cup, most of the matches will be played in the United States. The MetLife Stadium (New York/New Jersey), AT&T Stadium (Dallas), Arrowhead Stadium (Kansas City), NRG Stadium (Houston), Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atalanta), SoFi Stadium (Los Angeles), Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia), Lumen Field (Seattle), Levi’s Stadium (San Francisco), Gillette Stadium (Boston), and Hard Rock Stadium (Miami) will all host matches.
World Cup 2026 Schedule
The 2026 World Cup will run from June 8th to July 3rd, 2026. With the expansion from 32 teams to 48 teams, there will be a total of 80 matches, the most ever at a World Cup before. Teams have already begun their qualifying campaign to try and book their place at the tournament.
Once the draw is made, the teams involved in the opening game on June 8th will be announced. Traditionally, one of the host nations kicks off the tournament in front of their home supporters.
